Practical English:
1. I was going to prepare some gravy for ITSNOTFAIR but I struggled with the Instructions on the tin because we don't use gravy in France. So It said "add three heaped teaspoons of gravy powder with 125 ml of water but I had never heard of the word "heaped" before. I guessed it right this time !
Heaped = To fill completely or to overflowing, in short it is synonym of full.
By the way Gravy is a sauce made often from the juices that run naturally from meat or vegetables during cooking. It is a smooth, non-chunky liquid.
Ready-made cubes and powders can be used as a substitute for natural meat or vegetable extracts. Canned gravies are also available. Gravy is commonly served with roasts, meatloaf, rice, and pasta dishes.
