Zee Book: What is it all about?
Zee Book is a digital book. A digital book written by people from all over the world which is very special because it is owned by nobody in particular and everyone at the same time. Zee Book is very much alive; it is an interactive book, connecting people from different backgrounds and cultures. This is the story of an endless journey around the world and sometimes beyond.
Zee Book is a new way to write a book.
| 1. | Find a topic you want to write about. | |
| 2. | The only requirement is to integrate at least one of the time travellers into your own story. They must interact with the characters or the scenery you create. | |
| 3. | You can illustrate your story with multimedia files (pictures, sounds, etc.) | |
| 4. | You can refer to websites related to your story. Commercial links are allowed if the story is related to your product or service. E.g. A golf club can add a link to its website if the story takes place on the golf course itself.  Anything else will be considered as spam. |

| 6. | We will review your document to check if it is in accordance with our publishing guidelines. | |
| 7. | We will publish your story on the website. Don’t worry if you are not a native English writer, other people will be able to make comments and suggestions (grammar correction, typo, etc.). It is the content of your story that matter the most ! Your story will be highly rated if it is a nice story. | |
| 8. | Every month new stories will be reviewed and published on the website to be voted on. Voting is done by clicking on the stars at the beginning of each story. The ranking system goes from 1 star (mediocre story) to 5 stars (excellent story). It is not possible to vote twice for the same article ! | |
| 9. | The best stories will then be added to Zee Book as part of a new chapter. The writers of the month will be named. | |
| 10. | The others will be archived. |
Everybody will benefit from it
As a reader, you can wander off in any direction, you can vote for the topics you like. It is a new way to discover the world and learn a bit about it.
As a writer, you don’t need to write a full book, just the short story you always wanted to tell the world. We all know different things, you can just start with, where you live if you like or somewhere you have been or always wanted to go. There is a world of topics to be covered.

At the beginning, they were five little digital travelers surfing on the Internet. Let me introduce them to you.

Photon is the leader of our digital travelers. He is Christopher Columbus or for the younger members, Captain Kirk of our Internet vessel. He loves travelling around the world; his quest is to discover new life styles, cultures and civilizations. |

Artea is the artist. She loves all types of arty topics such as painting, music, craft, sculptures, etc. | |

Quarky is the mad scientist, he likes to experiment. He is also the gadget freak, IT, techie person. He is very clever but you’d better stay away from him when he does his experiments! | |

Cuisto is our big chef; he is an excellent cook who recommends wines and foods to taste from all over the world. | |

Earthea is our very bright writer; without her we wouldn’t have written proof of this ongoing adventure. She is our living encyclopedia as well; she is an expert in history, geography and many other topics. |
For the readers, it’s now time to find out where our little travelers are!
What can I write about?
- You make our little travelers visit your own town; try the food you eat, participate in your customs, use your own language or anything else you want to share with us.
- You can even introduce your own characters to interact with our five digital travelers.
- You can even go further and write poems, fiction, or short stories if they integrate well with the main story.
You must follow the publishing guidelines if you want your story to be published on the website. You can write as many stories as you want.
Can I write in my own language?
No, because the main goal is to be understood by Zee community which is using English as a Native or Second Language. You can nevertheless refer to your mother tongue to explain your culture and customs.
What if I make too many mistakes?
You shouldn’t worry too much about your grammar in English; someone from Zee community will help you to correct your story, just so long as it is understandable. It is a good way for you to improve your written English and for the rest of us to find out about your story.
How much should I write?
Your story doesn’t have to be very long; a short paragraph can be enough, as long as it is pertinent and doesn’t infringe our publishing guidelines.
Why is Zee Book an Interactive Book?
You can use multimedia files to illustrate your stories in Zee Book. It is possible to include non copyrighted materials such as:
- Geographic localization from Google Maps.
- Website links (tourism offices, Wikipedia, etc.)
- Pictures / Videos related to your story
Commercial websites can be used ONLY WHEN they refer to a very specific product or service. They will all be reviewed before being published.
